Meet Trevor.

Trev is a wonderful 2 year old Cane Corso cross Boxer. He can be quiet needy and will follow you around. He missed out on socialization when he was young so has no manners with other dogs.

For the last 6 months we have tried to work on this and show him new things but with no lead experience it has been a long road. With no distractions he will now walk amazing on a figure of eight lead where as before he would take you for a walk.

He takes time to get to know new people and new things. He needs a very strong minded owner that can help him with his confidence outside of the home. Trev likes to watch through the window but unfortunately he reacts to passing dogs/people if you don’t check him in time.

Any potential home must understand that he redirects his frustration onto the handler when he reacts by sight or proximity of other dogs or strangers, hence the figure of eight lead as it gives you more control but with time he will walk alongside some dogs. We took him on a pack walk with 20 other dogs and once he settled down he fitted right in all be at a distance. Foster must be aware and prepared and know how to physically manage that. In a ideal world a large secure garden where they can work with him to ensure full mind and body workouts too.

He loves a cuddle and is happy on the sofa with you or a nice soft bed, he is on a crate when we pop out and will take himself to bed sometimes if not on your bed.

Trev loves to play with tug toys anything that squeaks or is soft for him to destroy. Trev loves to play fetch and will chase a ball until he drops!

He will take food if he can get it, this includes the worktops but will do anything for a bit of carrot and will sit and wait lovely for his dinner till you tell him to go on then. If there is someone out there that could help Trev through his reactiveness and give him more confidence than we were able to give him he will be a great companion. He is such a loving boy who will be a devoted and loyal addition to the right home. He just wants to be with you and to please you all the time.

Trev is currently in kennels recieving support for his redirecting.

If you apply please make sure you fully understand his needs and will meet him for a slow introduction in Lincolnshire.
