FAQs

Where are you based?

The rescue is based in Lincolnshire and Birmingham, but we regularly travel across the UK to pick up pups. We even have an amazing travel incubator to facilitate this! We also rehome across the UK.

We are community based which means our dogs can be located anywhere in the country with our fosterers. Please ensure you are able to travel to the dogs location to meet them.

What is the difference between fostering and adopting?

Fostering is welcoming a dog into your home in a temporary basis. In certain circumstances a dog isn’t suitable to be rehomed right away, and might need behavioural or physical rehabilitation first until they are ready. Fostering allows these dogs to thrive in a comfortable home environment until that point. To find out more information on fostering click the link below.

Adopting on the other hand is accepting a dog into your family where they will stay. You can find out for info about adopting by clicking the link below.

I want to support Breeds In Need, how can I do this?

There are lots of ways to help out! You can apply to foster or adopt with us. We also have an active Facebook group which you can join where we regularly hold fundraising events such as raffles and sponsored walks.

We are also on other social media platforms where we regularly upload content of dogs looking for homes and updates and are always looking for more likes and shares. You can find all our socials on the link below.

I’ve applied to adopt or foster but I’ve not heard back. What do I do?

We are very lucky and grateful to receive any enquiries and applications to both foster and adopt with us. As a result this means that we do not normally respond to applications which have not been successful.

If you have any questions or enquiries about the status of your application please feel free to drop us an email at breedsinneeduk@gmail.com or click the link below.
