Sally Rose - Founder & Co Owner
My names Sally, I am the founder and co-owner of breeds in need. I founded BIN in 2018 after the closure of bullies in need from the amazing Ann Warwick. I have been rescuing animals of all kinds since I can remember. I have a particular passion for dogs with behavioural issues and love nothing more than rehabilitating and rehoming dogs to loving forever homes. I have four of my own dogs Benson, Tiggie, Walter and LouLou all of which are bull breeds which I have a massive love for as you can tell. Whilst I am raising my two children I dedicate my time to running the rescue, hand rearing cleft palate puppies and rehabilitating long term rescues such as Trevor our longest rescue who’s been with us for just over 3 years now our breeds in need veteran. We also have Brick who recently joined our pack as a long term foster.
Nicola Johnson - Co Owner
My names Nic, I am the co-owner of breeds in need. I come on board in 2020 as a transporter to help out Sally, I then become a foster for BIN and that is how I ended up with three BIN dogs Jelly, Molly & Jasper. Myself and Sally become great friends and I used my professional experience to manage the business side of the rescue alongside fostering, hand rearing and promoting the rescue on Tiktok as (The_black_dog_crew) I have a passion for dogs with long term medical needs and disabilities and currently have a long term foster Neil The Lab who has Cerebella Hydroplasia. Alongside my fulltime job and raising my son I dedicate my time to advocate for dog welfare.
Lacey - Social Media & Website Team & Odd Jobs Woman
I’m Lacey, I recently joined the BIN team to help them out with their social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram & Tiktok which you can find below. I have 2 cockapoos named Truffles & Sable I sometimes help out with fostering and socialising puppies. I joined the BIN team because I just really LOVE dogs and think every dog deserves a chance at living life to the fullest.
Lisa - Website Team
I’m Lisa, I have two rescue dogs from Cyprus, a 13 year old German Shepherd Conan and 8 year old German Shepherd cross Talia who keep me busy, but not so busy that I can’t help this fantastic rescue. Having experience of maintaining a rescue website and doing adopter home-checks I was more than happy to volunteer to do this for Breeds In Need. Helping rescue animals who need a home is a real passion of mine.
