Puppies can be born with a defect that impacts their ability to feed off their mother. These can range from cleft palate deformities to neurological conditions such hydrocephalus. As a rescue we specialise in hand rearing puppies and are experienced in all aspects of this including tube feeding, hydration management and raspatory support . We take puppies in from just hours old and rear them like our own babies, through weaning and beyond until they find their amazing forever homes. Sadly in some circumstances with an increase of caesarean sections in dog breeding in general we are seeing greater numbers of maternal deaths in these circumstances. We have taken and hand reared whole litters and have the facilities and experience to support owners in these circumstances.
