Meet Otto

Otto, is a 8 month old Dachshund, who came into rescue as his previous family couldn’t care for him anymore due to personal reasons! Otto came into rescue with his brother Herbie who is also his litter mate.

After lots of assessing we believe they would better separated as they both love unconditionally amounts of attention which they absolutely thrive off! Otto is still a young pup and will require some basic training. He loves to play with his toys, Otto is a little bit more timid compared to his brother who is the life and soul of any party!

We think Otto needs a dog free home where he can lap up the attention as he does love a cuddle on the sofa. Otto is doing well with his crate training which he has slept in every night since being in foster. Otto cannot live with cats or any small furry beings as he is a working dog at heart. He can be homed with children but they must be 10+ and dog savvy! We would like Otto to be an only dog as he is quiet intimidated by other dogs and this can lead him to become very unsettled and anxious in a home environment where he should feel safe.

His also very vocal and likes to let everyone in the neighbourhood know that his home is his home he does this by running into the garden barking for 3 seconds, runs back indoors barks and then goes back outside to either explore or go to the toilet.

His house training is coming along nicely, he does have the odd accident if you aren’t quick enough to open the door!

If you can offer this sweet boy a loving home where he will be loved and get the attention he needs and loves you can apply via the link below.

Please not that we are community based, meaning our animals can be located anywhere in the country with our fosters. Please ensure you are able to travel to the animals location to meet them.
