You might be wondering what is whelping? Well whelping is the name that’s given to the process of a dog giving birth. With over 12 years experience of whelping rescue dogs this is another aspect of pet care that we provide and specialise in. We’ve rescued lots of pregnant female dogs over the years with some labours going smoother than others. We’ve had female dogs that are aggressive due to protecting their puppies to ones who reject their young leaving us no other option but to hand rear them. We understand that many rescues aren’t able to facilitate whelping female dogs however we have a specific whelping room set up ready for such cases.
